7th Pay Commission: Hello friends, a pay commission is constituted by the Government of India. And all the central employees and pensioners are given salary and pension through this. Lakhs of employees are taking advantage of the salary received by the Seventh Pay Commission. The Seventh Pay Commission was implemented in January 2016. However, it had to be delayed and since then all the employees started getting this money. Now the Dearness Allowance is increased twice a year by the Seventh Pay Commission.

The Seventh Pay Commission is established by the Government of India which is at the central level. A separate pay commission is implemented at the state level. Currently, salary and pension are being given by the Seventh Pay Commission which was implemented in 2016. Now all the central employees are also recommending the new pay commission which will be implemented as the Eighth Pay Commission. However, no official announcement has been made yet regarding when the Eighth Pay Commission will be implemented.

7th Pay Commission

In July 2016, AK Mathur headed the Seventh Pay Commission and submitted a report on it to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. The report suggested a 23.55% increase in the salaries and allowances of government employees and it was implemented on time. If you are also getting salary through the Seventh Pay Commission, then it is given equally to everyone. So the salary increase and other benefits are given to government employees.

The Government of India planned to implement the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission in January 2017 and it was implemented again in January 2017.

Seventh Pay Commission of Government of India

Central Government employees and staff in India get salary as per the Seventh Pay Commission system. After the Union Budget presented on 5th July 2019, the Central Government is waiting for the update from the Seventh Pay Commission of the Central employees. Which is usually made in 6 months and since then there is always an increase.

The Dearness Allowance was increased by 3% at that time and after that again it was expected to increase by 5%. But for the last few years, there has been a constant increase of 4%.

Military Service Pay

According to the Seventh Pay Commission, it has been recommended to pay Military Service Pay only for defense personnel. Military Service Pay is the compensation given to people serving military service in India. Which is given to Brigadier and people of the same level for all banks.

Dearness Allowance

Dearness Allowance is increased twice a year by the Seventh Pay Commission. At present, an increase of 50% has been done, which was an increase of 4% in the January 2024 increase. After that it became 50%, after that now there will be an increase in July 2024. Which is expected to be an increase of 4%. However, till now no announcement has been made by the central government to the central employees as to how much percentage increase will be made. Currently, more than 50 lakh central employees and about 68 lakh pensioners are getting this benefit and will continue to get it in future.
