Because it has to be implemented by 2026 and the Seventh Pay Commission was implemented in 2014, according to that, 10 years have been completed by 2024.
Let us tell you that dearness allowance has been increased by 50%, now there will be a big increase in dearness allowance from 1 July 2024. After this, dearness allowance will increase even more. Due to 50% increase in DA, there has been a huge increase in salary. Suppose someone had a basic salary of 18000, then his basic salary has become 27000. Now the dearness allowance will be increased according to the 27000. The increase in dearness allowance for July will be done next month. But the increased dearness allowance will be available from this 1st July only.
8th Pay Commission
Central employees are currently getting 50% dearness allowance. Which was increased by 4% this year, now if the DA hike is 4%, then it will start from 0. Therefore, all the employees are waiting to know how much percent increase can be made in the dearness allowance of July. There is a lot of discussion in the media reports that there can be an increase of 4%.
However, no announcement has been made by the central government regarding this yet. An announcement will be made about the dearness allowance of July in the next month i.e. August. The process of formation of the Eighth Pay Commission can start immediately after the increase in the dearness allowance of July.

When will the 8th Pay Commission be implemented

But it is definitely being told that soon by making a big announcement related to this, all the employees will be told that the Eighth Pay Commission is going to be formed. There is a lot of discussion in the media report that by the end of 2024, there can be a big announcement related to the Eighth Pay Commission.

Fitment factor will increase
This time there has been a lot of discussion about the increase in the fitment factor. If this happens, then there will be a big jump in the salary of central employees. According to the fitment factor under the Seventh Pay Commission, the salary of central employees will increase by 8860, the fitment factor is currently 2.57. If it is increased to 3.68, then the minimum limit of grade pay of level 1 will reach Rs 26000.
The fitment factor was increased in 2016, when the salary of central employees was increased from Rs 6000 to Rs 18000. In this, all things are increased from time to time, such as dearness allowance, travel house rent allowance, the basic component of the employees is multiplied by the fitment factor 2.57. Right now there is a demand to increase it to 3.68 times.
